ROUND 1 – MY TWENTY-FOURTH $1K

Wow, my deadline is approaching (end of July!) and I am going hard on this challenge. This time I raided my wardrobe and house and sold some big ticketed items on eBay, Gumtree (Australia’s version of Craig’s List) and High End.

My total proceeds came to just under $1,000 so I had a quite night in last Saturday and put the money that I would normally allocate towards Saturday night entertainment and food to bring my savings up to $1,000.

The markets have been extremely volatile recently, especially with the Brexit, however when you put all these world events into perspective, I personally view this is a great opportunity to pick up some long term passive income sources that appropriately match my appetite for risk and time frames.

So I decided to increase my holdings in Woolworths (WOW), by $1,000, which assists in building the diversification of the portfolio. Plus my estimated dividend income increases from $1,212 to $1,268, which means that I am just over 64% of the way to achieving my goal!
