Working to a strict deadline with The $1,000 Project, whilst juggling my full time business, SASS Financial, has left me a little run down. As much as I love the exciting, fast pace of Sydney, sometimes we can loose the feeling of our path and vision with the all the hustle and bustle around us. And I really felt the need to invest in some much needed one on one time with Rocco.
So instead of complaining, I decided to take control and book a holiday for Rocco and I to Bali.
In looking at various accommodation options, one thing that I was certain about is that I didn’t feel like staying in a major hotel. Don’t get me wrong, I love a luxury hotel but because this trip was about family, I wanted to stay in a place that felt more like a home.
Also I wanted just a few days of peace and quiet with no one around. I simply wanted to spend time with Rocco, hanging out with him and not feeling the pressure or stress to be somewhere.
After researching a few options, we booked The Sun Island Villa’s in Goa Gong. Up in the hills, away from people, cars and noise. I couldn’t have been happier. The accommodation was huge, with plenty of room to spread our stuff around and a view out to the ocean. Also it was incredibly luxurious, with huge marble bathrooms, your private pool, and a stunning garden area for Rocco to run around in.
The only people that we saw were the staff, who kindly came to make our breakfast each morning and to tidy the villa. The staff were so kind, warm and helpful. I truly felt at home and was able to properly switch my mind off work and onto connecting with Rocco again.
And being away from everything and everyone, Rocco and I were able to play games in the pool, tag in the garden, eat a healthy fresh breakfast together (loved the break from not having to cook breakfast) and snuggle into the king size bed together at night.
So if this feels like something you could do with right now, I highly recommend checking out the Sun Island Suites at Goa Gong, Bali…you won’t know yourself afterwards…
