Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at the Atlantic Byron Bay, which is conveniently located near the town centre. Not only is the accommodation beautiful, but the location is ridiculously convenient, with everything you need within walking distance.
After a short stroll, you can find yourself among the quaint cafes, local restaurants and markets of Byron Bay. Surrounded by palm trees and coastal gardens, the atmosphere was a blend of beach chic and modern luxury.
I would not have had the true Byron Bay experience without visiting the beach. Only minutes away, lies Wategos Beach. Famous for being an ideal picnic spot, it is not uncommon to relax and indulge in the exquisite food and wine, together with the wonderful view of the ocean.
I also checked out The Farm, a well-known eatery and place for sourcing fresh and local produce. I had the chance to have first-hand experience of seeing how the farm operates. The experience left me feeling a sense of appreciation for farmers, producers and educators who spend their time improving the health and wellness of our community.
However,my favourite thing about Byron Bay was the seeing people going about their day. Their easy going, chilled out attitude and sun-kissed glow was inspiring to me. From the tranquil town, fine food and surf culture, it has been nothing short of amazing for this soulful town.
I highly recommend visiting Byron Bay soon, as dolphin and whale watching season has arrived.
