Recently I feel like my skin has literally gone downhill. I am noticing that my jawline is looking a bit “marshmallowy” and I know that I am getting heavily lidded under the eyebrows as I can actually feel it. So sadly I am not being paranoid or vain, this is really happening. And don’t get me started on my double chin…I dread looking down in the mirror, catching sight of that excess flesh.
However ageing isn’t something that scares me, it is a part of life and I embrace the wisdom and adventures that we gain from each year that passes. However if there is something that I can do to slow down or reinvigorate the problem areas, don’t hold me back, especially if it doesn’t involve a needle or scalpel.
Enter Douglas Pereira…
I meet with Skin Therapist Douglas Pereira at his Park Street Skin Clinic in Sydney, which has this feeling of being in New York on the Upper East Side. Yet it overlooks Sydney’s own Hyde Park and sits perfectly above the trees so that whilst you are getting your treatment, you feel like you are floating.
So now down to business.
Pereira got to work on my problem areas with a Neocollagenesis Remodeling Therapy. First a cleanse, then red light therapy then the heavy duty but pain free treatment….mechanical facial drainage, full face passing of the SRS lifting and firming device and finished off with a vitamin infusion, mask and massage. A direct massage to my face, neck and back of neck but with a vibrating machine with pulsating currents. Working its way through renewing muscle fibres, improving muscle tone and skin elasticity.
Normally a treatment with this many benefits comes with plenty of pain, (no pain, no gain right?). But in fact, this treatment was so relaxing, as I found myself drifting off from time to time. However what astounded me was the results, serious results and instant results. My neck and chin instantly looked tighter and higher, my eyebrows perked up and my skin looked full and plump…and all with no injections, lasers or pain. It was incredible.
One week later and I am still getting compliments, and what I love the most about this is that you don’t need to necessarily be getting this done every month. You can of course if you wanted to, but one to three treatments is enough. Pereira recognises that we are all time poor, so if we are going to invest in a skin treatment, it not only needs to work quickly and be long lasting, but not have a high maintenance requirement. Which is music to my ears and why Douglas Pereira’s Skin Clinic will remain one my reliable “go tos” for investment advice in my skin.
